Improvement of low-lying saline soils

Low-lying saline-alkali soils are generally prone to water accumulation, high salt content, and their pH value is above 8, which hinders the normal growth of crops.

Improvements:
1. Increase the application of sufficient organic particles to promote the improvement of organic matter content.
The most basic way to improve saline-alkali soil is to cut the capillary connection between the topsoil and the subsoil,  and wash the harmful salts into the bottom layer through rainwater or irrigation water. Organic particles are rich in a large amount of organic matter and humic acid, which can promote the formation of aggregate structure in the topsoil and play the role of salt pressing. Therefore, deep tillage combined with a large amount of Organules is one of the effective measures; it is highly suggested to use hydrolyzed protein in the way of flushing fertilzier, the ratio can be used at 1: 1000.

2. Spread sand and cover grass, the purpose is to reduce evaporation and prevent the rise of salinity.

3. Cultivate in time after irrigation, cut off the soil capillaries to prevent the salinity from rising.

4. Planting salt-tolerant crops year after year, such as licorice blue, brussels sprouts, lettuce, spinach, pumpkin, mustard greens, green onions, etc., can also receive the effect of improving soil properties.
